Hello again my friend. 

I wanted to share about our faith and the supremacy of Jesus in your life right now and as your hope for 2024. I find myself right now at this very point in my life where I have to do away with old value sets and thinking patterns as we journey into full time ministry.

I find that now more than ever, everything I have believed about Jesus is being confronted and also confounded. I say confounded because I am almost confused. I thought and really believed that pursuing ministry would mean that I have not only entered into the purpose God had ordained for us but that it would resemble a different picture than what I currently see in my life.

What do I mean?

When God calls us into His divine plan for our lives, which is not overnight of course. And let me emphatically state this, that if you are born again and are a believing Christian of Jesus, then you are in God’s divine plan stepping closer and closer to your destiny as time unfolds.But when He calls us, He is asking of us to enter into a Covenant of faith. To lay hold of His hand knowing that where His taking you is not where you could have envisioned nor are able to get yourself there by any means. He calls us into His divine grace, through faith, fellowship and trust. What we today call RELATIONSHIP!

Not only this, He calls us to walk in a manner worthy of our call by one hope and one faith [what do I mean one hope, and one faith]

Ephesians 4:4-13 NIV, Paul writes to the Ephesian church this: [4] There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; [5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism; [6] one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. [7] But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. [8] This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” [9] (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? [10] He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) [11] So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, [12] to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up [13] until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

The scripture here teaches us that Jesus is God of the universe and out of all of His creation before the cross and even after the cross, the single most important aspect of our faith is to believe and receive His grace. It’s in receiving His grace first for our lives first, the single message of hope [called the hope] and the single message of our faith [called the faith], that we begin to understand that it is only by His grace are we able to walk out our callings and be worthy of those callings.

The implore of Jesus and the Father is that in Christ we become unified with Him first by understanding severely how He loves us and then in the same vein, loving each other with that same love. It’s also in the fullness of this knowledge do we begin to see that if Christ is before all things and after all things, then surely Christ is Lord in a new year and even after that new year. Christ is Lord last year and Christ is Lord next year.

So no matter the graces and ailments of a year, when Jesus is supremely Lord of our year and lives, more importantly, then it doesn’t matter how the year goes. Because again, He is in all things. It’s in this fullness of this hope and this faith, in one God, we are truly baptised into unity with the Father through Jesus our Lord and then overflowing onto each other. The foundation of this message is that Christ is a sure bet for your year not only because He is the foundation of our faith and our hope. Which is our gospel of His grace by the way. But also because if Christ is your word for the year then you can’t be swayed into any other man made theology or doctrine, which may seem sound because of the calibre of men you receive it from.

Ephesians 4:14-16 NIV now shows us: [14] Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. [15] Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. [16] From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

So we see here that as we mature in our faith and the fullness of the knowledge of Jesus, we are then not only becoming worthy of our call in which Christ has called us too, but also we will not be swayed into receiving any false hope contrary to our one hope. Our Lord Jesus and His grace.

My friend, the gospel of Jesus is our only hope, our only faith and by us connecting to this message daily, do we begin to walk worthy of our call to faith. Faith in Jesus. Let 2024 be a year you decide that Jesus is going to be your beginning and end.
